2023 Parade Grand Marshal

We are excited to introduce Sioux Falls Police Sergeant, Troy Bruxvoort, as this years Parade Grand Marshal!

Troy served as an officer in the Sioux Falls Police Department for many years, and in that time specifically worked as the department liaison for community events. Sergeant Bruxvoort spent countless hours working not only with the Festival of Bands but with other large events. Including the Sanford International Golf Tournament, the Sioux Falls Marathon, the Sidewalk Arts Festival, the Parade of Lights...the list goes on! Through his guidance and expertise, Sergeant Bruxvoort made a lasting impact on each of these events. Maintaining and improving the logistics and safety for participants and spectators alike.

In his retirement, Troy is also continuing to serve students in his local district, Hull Christian School, where he has served as a school board member, and is finding time to work on his farm and enjoy life! The Festival of Bands is indebted to Sergeant Troy Bruxvoort for his support of both our parade and field show over many years. We are honored to welcome him back this year as Grand Marshal!
